Thurgood Marshall Playbill Advertisement
Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association
Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association needed a compelling ad to display in the Playbill for the play about Thurgood Marshall starring Laurence Fishburne that ran on Broadway in 2008. Despite a number of concepts with their general market firm, the folks at BACVA gave Brown Hornet Design a crack at the project and this is the ad they bough to run for the show.
Researching the history of Thurgood Marshall helped the ad succeed by acknowledging the struggle that the nation's first black Supreme Court justice endured as a young attorney starting out in Baltimore. The proper tone of the ad alludes to that struggle without overdoing it.
